Michael Gilmer ’04 recently joined the Davis Brown Law Firm as Special Counsel in the Business Division. Michael practices primarily in the area of tax law including complicated tax controversy matters, and also has experience in general business matters advising clients on incorporation and mergers and acquisitions as well as estate planning. Prior to joining Davis Brown, Michael practiced at a small general practice law firm in West Des Moines. He has also worked in-house and as a solo practitioner.
Michael earned his J.D. at Drake University Law School, with high honors, where he served as Projects Editor on the staff of the Drake Law Review. He continued his education at the New York University School of Law receiving an LL.M. in Taxation.
