David Wold ’60 shares that “Life goes on in Säffle, Sweden despite the pandemic, although I never thought it would come to a screeching halt. We’ve had mild winters. For example, this past January the average temperature while I cycled was only -3.4 degrees C or about 26 degrees F. But then February came along with clear skies and very cold temperatures. No cycling so far and it’s the middle of the month. This said I’ve never experienced cold weather as I experienced during my years at GAC. When the wind blew off Hudson Bay and picked up speed while moving over Canada and finally hit the hill, it was at max velocity and cold temperature – a good reason to stay inside and study. But tomorrow is Valentine’s Day, a good sign that spring is just around the corner”. David concludes by saying that if anyone is visiting Sweden, they are welcome at Stockvägen 6, Säffle, Sweden!
