Mickey (Hanson) Speck ’80 shares, “I retired from Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory on July 1, 2019. Now I enjoy my own time by volunteering for a couple of nonprofits: one which provides rides to seniors for medical appointments, and also a senior dog rescue organization in San Francisco. I also continue to make music: while the San Ramon Valley Chorale is on COVID hiatus, I’ve started singing with a women’s group at Diablo Valley College, “pitching” in on piano and/or voice with my church, and playing ukulele with another local church group”.
