Minnesota Logistics Firm Appoints John C. Kolden Posted on June 14th, 2010 by

John C. Kolden ’96 has been named Vice President for Agent Services of Network F.O.B., a nationwide third-party logistics firm headquartered in Eagan, MN.

Prior to joining the firm, he headed Kolden Transport Inc., of St. Paul, MN, which provides freight and logistics services as a Network F.O.B. affiliated agent.  In addition, Kolden developed exclusive agent training and acquisition services for Network F.O.B.

In announcing Kolden’s appointment, Network F.O.B. President Timothy Taylor said. “John’s unique background in both training and as a freight brokerage agent makes him remarkably well qualified for the position.”  Kolden will also be responsible for maintaining and improving the efficiency of agent support services throughout the nation, Taylor noted.

Kolden is a native of LeSueur, MN, and a graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, MN

Network F.O.B. is one of the fastest growing third-party logistics firm in the nation, doubling its number of independent agents in 2009 from 45 to more than 90 and reporting continued record growth thus far in 2010, Taylor said.

Taylor acquired the firm in 1987 which traces its lineage to 1971 as Metro Cartage operating in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area.
