You really should run an article on how many Gusties are judges: the Grosses, obviously, me (Richard Scherer ’68),. Tanya Bransford, Steve Ruble, Ivy Bernhardson, Donald Spilseth, and several others. Was there something in the St. Peter water tower to generate so many? Or did the Gustie spirit move us all toward public service and fairly judging many less fortunate than us. Could make an interesting story, especially peppered with interviews highlighting motivations for the job. Also inspiration and alumni contacts for current students interested in law and public service.

Call the governor’s office and ask for names of Gusties vario8us governors have appointed to the bench, or search your own data base to finf alums who served as judeges.
