This past year has been a busy one! Last summer, I and several colleagues were awarded a grant from Sigma Theta Tau International (the nursing honor society) and Assessments Technologies Institute (ATI) to conduct research related to the use of standardized nursing assessments in a BSN program. I have presented this research at ATI’s 2nd National Nurse Educator Summit in Orlando, FLA.

This spring, I was promoted to Assistant Professor of Nursing at Nebraska Methodist College and assumed the office of Faculty Senate President for 2011-2013. I continue to teach senior nursing clinical in the ICU and a World Civ history course as an adjunct General Education faculty member.

On a personal note, my 17 year old daughter Sylvia continues to ride Arabian horses to first places at shows throughout the Midwest and in Scottsdale.
