My story about deciding to join the Peace Corps after graduation from Gustavus while traveling with the Center for Vocational Reflection to the Inward Bound Conference was selected for Chicken Soup for the Soul: Find Your Happiness. This is the first piece I have ever submitted for publication. The book will be released on October 25, 2011. I’ve attached a picture of myself with an advance copy of the book. Fittingly I also just attended a Gustavus Alumni retreat with Chris Johnson from the Center this past weekend as well and one of the attendees Emily Brisse ’04 had been at the conference in 2002. The timing seems somehow appropriate and it was great to reconnect with them both over the weekend and reminisce.
