Dean Hyers ’88 and Pete Machalek ’89

Dean Hyers ’88 sold his interactive media company (Digital Café) so he could direct an an independent movie (Bill’s Gun Shop) that got released by Warner Brother’s. Dean then became a spy-trainer, teaching acting to US and Canadian undercover agents at a federal spy school. This inspired Dean to take his knowledge of presence and presenting into corporate America, where he coached $2 billion of winning sales pitches.

Co-developed with Pete Machalek ’89, Dean releases WINNING PRESENCE for Business Presenters which promises to take you from stage fright to stage presence when you speak, lead and sell. The book applies movie-set skills to connect you to your audience with compelling messages and dynamic delivery.
