John Carlson ’57 passed away January 2, 2013. He was a Sr social worker in Chemical Health division of Hennepin County for many years. In retirement, he spent his time volunteering at church (Lutheran Church of the master in Brooklyn Center) and at Evergreen Elementary school in Brooklyn Center working with emergent readers. He was always a strong supporter of Gustavus and the reason why his daughter Pamela ’92 looked at attending Gustavus as well.
