In August, I’ll be wrapping up my year of service with Urban Servant Corps in Denver and will be heading to Malaysia for a year of international service with Young Adults in Global Mission.
Since graduating in May 2012, I have enjoyed living in Chicago while interning with ELCA World Hunger (June-Aug 2012) as well as living in Denver working as a full-time volunteer with the Women’s Bean Project (www.womensbeanproject.com).
The transition off the hill has been challenging but rewarding as I continue to learn how my privilege, passions, and skills can benefit those in need in “the real world.”
