My second year in Goodyear, AZ is off to a great school year of teaching second grade, especially when I have some current Gusties joining me. Through the education program at Gustavus, it is giving three seniors an opportunity to student teach down here at Canyon Breeze Elementary School. This is the school that I teach at, which is perfect! Megan Schroepfer ’13, Grace Balfanz ’14, and Casey Dowling ’14 are now experiencing kindergarten, sixth, and third grade. We have had the opportunity to travel together to Sedona, Arizona as well as the Grand Canyon National Park making sure to be seen in our Gustie gear! I have also had the great opportunity to have fellow classmate Molly Weber 12′ join me teaching second grade right next door! I can’t wait to see how the rest of the school year goes!
