David Schauer ’79 is still the Sibley County Attorney. On February 11, 2014, David completed 26 years as county attorney and started his 27th year the next day. He started with Sibley County in 1982. David also has a private law practice. Last year, after a 7 year absence, he returned to the Boundary Waters for another canoe trip. “It was wonderful, but I can tell I am older! Last year I got back to Gustavus a few times– walking in the arboretum is a great outing and I enjoyed an alumni breakfast.”
