Chad Olinger ’85 is group leader for Applied Modern Physics at Los Alamos National Laboratory. In addition to leading a group performing quantum communications, quantum sensing, magnetic resonance imaging and radiography, Chad engages in solar wind research, meteorite studies, nuclear weapons prompt diagnostics and has worked extensively in nuclear nonproliferation and arms control. Outside of work he has a 29 year marriage, two great kids, one who is currently a senior at Gustavus and enjoys refereeing soccer.
