Elizabeth (Braun) Harstad ’08 was recently named Greater Mankato Growth’s Young Professional of the Year. The award recognizes an individual between the ages of 21-39 who has made outstanding contributions to the community through their demonstrated leadership and service. After graduating from Gustavus as a history major, Elizabeth earned her master’s in social work and is currently employed as the community impact director for the Greater Mankato Area United Way. In her role at United Way, Elizabeth is responsible for providing staff leadership to the community investment process and collaborating with community partners, businesses, and organizations to address community needs.
