Gustavus: It Gets Better Project

On campus this February and March, the Gustavus Queers and Allies organization and the Campus Activities Board collected video recordings of students, faculty and staff giving testimonies as members of the GLBT and Ally community, which was combined into one video response from the Gustavus community for the It Gets Better Project (www.itgetsbetter.org). The nationwide project was created in response to LGBT teen suicides that occurred this fall, and the purpose is to show young LGBT people that life is worth living.

Gustavus’ own It Gets Better Video was previewed on March 4th, and was released to the public on March 23rd.

  1. LOVE it! so proud of my school for this. that’s the first time i’ve had that feeling, so it’s very meaningful to me. how far we’ve apparently come since those first days we worked to implement SafeZone
