After 39 years of coaching the men’s tennis team at Gustavus Adolphus College, Steve Wilkinson retired this spring. Steve has been an inspiration to thousands of people over his many years of service to the game. The tennis community will celebrate and thank Steve for his commitment to the game as a coach, player, competitor, ambassador, teacher, and mentor.
There will be an event held on December 12 at the Minneapolis Hyatt, with a social hour followed by dinner and program. Speaking during the program will be former competitors, fellow coaches, former players, a representative from the USTA Northern who has worked with Coach Wilkinson for a number of years, and some others. Jerry Noyce, a longtime friend of the coach and member of the Minnesota tennis community, has agreed to be the master of ceremonies.
