Virgene, Fox Island is in Washington near Gig Harbor, which is near Tacoma. I retired the end of June, took the ferry south to Prince Rupert and drove from there. I’ll soon be heading south with the geese to my winter hacienda in Tempe, Arizona. It was tough leaving Alaska after 36 wonderful years, but my children and grandchildren would like to see me more often. Presumably that will happen since Jens and Nick both live in the San Francisco Bay area. I’ve had a steady stream of visitors since moving here and look forward to many more. Jens, Nick and I visited Norway in June ~ a trip I’ve waited 51 years to repeat (the first time was adjacent to a Swedish study tour with Gusties). Needless to say, I won’t wait that long again.
