Milo Lundblad ’76 completed his 28th Chicago to Mackinac Island sailing race last month. The race is 333 miles long and the longest annual fresh water race in the world. Milo finished second in the Double Handed Division. Raced on a Tartan Ten named Amateur II with another good Swede, Bill Fagerstrom (but not a Gustie). It was their 20th race together and the third time they have done it double handed.

They started the race off of downtown Chicago at 11:40 a.m. on Saturday, July 21st and crossed the finish line at the Island forty-seven (47) hours later.

The first photo is of Milo and Bill with their second place flag (Milo on the left). In the second, they are flying past the Mackinac Bridge, about 5 miles from the finish, in 20+ knots of wind.
