On May 26th 2018, a dream that began in the weight room of Lund center finally came to fruition, 30 years later. At Gustavus, I spent many hours pumping iron with classmates Gregg Goedde ’89 and Luther Hagen ’88 with dreams of competing in a body building competition. On May 26th in Bloomington, Mn, I finally got on stage to compete for the Mr. Natural Minnesota Body Building Competition. I was thrilled with the competition as I won the Master’s class, the Novice class, and placed 4th in the 40 and over North American Pro Qualifier. I had great Gustie support from former roommate, Brian Ebent ’90, sister Julie (Morrell) Frandsen ’93, and spouse Amy (McCrea) Morrell ’91 grad and Gustavus Hall of Famer, as well as other family and friends. Attached are photos of myself with my sister Julie and trophies, and myself with Aaron Callister (promotor of Mr. Natural Minnesota)
